Oil
This painting was done for practice, I take an oil painting class outside of school at Lindas Art and Frame.
This picture takes place in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany. My sister went there a few years ago and brought back this picture. I thought it was a fun picture to do but, the bricks were really time consuming and frustrating. This is the first time I had painted bricks before and it took a long time. I chose this picture because I liked the perspective in it how it draws you into the picture.
Oil 12''x16''
This peice was done in my oil painting 1 class at BYU-Idaho.We had to learn how to smooth the edges of the farther objects and sharpen the edges of the closer objects. I did like this assignent because I got to learn how to make objects look farther away. I also learned that objects are not made of one color but with many colors. For example the pair has green, blue, yellow, orange and white. I think that when you add all these colors it make the object more life like.
Oil 12''x14''
This picture study was also done at BYU-Idaho. In this study we had to use our choice of cool colors to paint a cool color painting. I did think this was a fun painting and it was a good excercise in learning about cool colors.
