Acrylic 12x16
This painting was done for my art Foundations II class this year. The painting assignment is a demonstration of warm and cool colors using only Burnt Sienna, Ultramarine Blue, White, and Black. This is a painting from Chile and it is called La Portada which means the opening in spanish. I chose to do this picture because it is where my mother is from and I think it is a beautiful place.

This painting was done for my art Foundation II class this year also. For this assignment we were suppose to copy an old masters painting, using only black and white. I chose to do a portrait because I had never done one before and wanted to try it. I though it was difficult to do mainly because I am accustumed to oil painting and acrylic is different. I thought that it turned out better than I thought it would in the end.

This painting was done for my art Foundation II class. The assignment was to do a simple still life in neutral values. We had to pick three or more objects and arrange them in a good compostion. I chose a tall bottle, shorter pumpkin, and small pepper. The bottle was fun because it was see through and I thought that the pumpkin and pepper were harder to paint because of the bumps and many shadows.

This is a color wheel done in my art Foundation II class. We had to mix all the colors and then paint the color wheel first, then we worked on doing the value studies. I think that the yellow strip was the hardest to do because it kept turning green. Mixing the colors for violet, red violet, and blue violet was hard. They are all really dark colors and would blend together.
